PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – SPECIAL USE PERMIT REQUEST FOR MARIHUANA FACILITIES GALIEN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, as amended, and the Galien Township Zoning Ordinance, specifically Section 2.4B paragraph 24, “Marihuana Facility subject to the requirements of Section 2.7” (Marihuana Facilities by Special Permit as Provided by Section 3.13) that the Galien Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, April 23, 2018, at the Galien Township Hall, at 305 Kiley, Galien, MI 49113, at 6:00 p.m. on a proposed Special Use Permit for a medical marihuana facility, specifically 4-Class C Cultivations and 1 Processor .
The Special Use Permit request was submitted by Applicant Med Farm of Michigan Inc. primary applicant Mathew Sulkowski, and the request is to build and operate a medical marihuana facility, specifically 4 Class C Cultivation and 1 Processor, on property located at 3810 US Hwy 12 , Galien, MI 49113, parcel number 11-09-0005-0015-00-5 and 11-09-0005-0016-00-1. The property is located in an Agricultural Zoning District.
The application for the Special Use Permit and the Township Zoning Ordinance/Map may be examined by contacting the Township Clerk, Jennifer Richter, at 269-545-8143 during regular business hours after the publication of this Notice, and further may be examined at the hearing. Individuals with disabilities or the need for auxiliary aids should contact the Township Clerk at 269-545-8143, or send correspondence to the Galien Township Hall, P.O. Box 246, Galien, MI 49113, not less than five days before the hearing.
Written comments addressed to the Planning Commission should be received at the Galien Township Hall, P.O. Box 246, Galien, MI 49113, prior to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, in order to be included in the materials submitted for review.
