GALIEN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to PA 110 of 2006, the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (as amended) and the Galien Township Zoning Ordinance, notice is hereby given that the Galien Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday February 6, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Township Hall, 305 Kiley Dr., Galien, MI 49113, to consider a Special Use Permit for a 1 acre parcel, parcel number 11-09-0024-0002-01-5, with an address of 210 Olive Branch Road, Galien, MI 49113, owned by Tyler Neiman (”Applicant”).
The Special Use Permit requested by Applicant is under Section 2.4B(20), Uses By Special Permit, specifically “Veterinarian clinics and/or kennel facilities”. The Applicant is requesting to establish a dog kennel facility.
The property is currently zoned “Agricultural”, and if the Special Use Permit is granted, the property would remain “Agricultural”, subject to the terms and conditions of the Special Use Permit.
