 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SEWER DISPOSAL ORDINANCE

NUMBER 30, SECTION G. TO SET BILLING FOR THE GALIEN

VILLAGE SEWER DISPOSAL SYSTEM.

 THE VILLAGE OF GALIEN ORDAINS:

Section 1. G. Billing

Bills will be rendered quarterly on June1st, September 1st, December 1st and March 1st, payable without penalty by the last Tuesday of the month in which they are billed. Payments received after such period shall bear a penalty of 10% percent of the amount billed. Returned checks or NSF checks shall generate a charge to sewer users equal to charges to the village by any banking institution plus a fee of $20.00.

Section 2. Effective Date

This Ordinance is hereby declared to have been adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Galien, Berrien County, Michigan, at a meeting held on the io” of June , 2019.

Rates are as follows:

Residential: $25/month

Small business: $35/month per unit

Industrial/Commercial: $50/month per unit

Commercial/Business Hookup Fee: $5,000

This Ordinance shall become effective twenty (20) days after the date of its adoption afore described.

Vote: Ayes: Marsh, Darymple, Chappell, Merrill , Rochman

Nays: none

Absent: Swank, Foster

Ordinance declared adopted: June 10,2019

Ordinance effective date: June 30, 2019
