NOMINATING PETITIONS to qualify as a Candidate for a Buchanan City Commissioner are available from the Buchanan City Clerk at City Hall, 302 N Redbud Trail, Buchanan, Michigan . Three (3) seats for a four (4) year term on the City Commission will be voted on during the General Election, Tuesday November 6, 2018. The last day to file Nominating Petitions in the City Clerk’s Office is Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. local time. If there are more than six petitions filed by the deadline date, all names will be listed on the ballot for the August Primary on Tuesday August 7, 2018 to be voted on. Nominating Petitions shall contain not less than 6 or more than 20 signatures of qualified registered electors in the City.
