PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
GALIEN TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, as amended, and the Galien Township Zoning Ordinance, that the Galien Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Galien Township Hall, at 305 Kiley Drive, Galien, MI 49113, at 7:00 p.m. on a proposed variance for an addition to be added to an existing structure requested to be built on property owned by Gerald Steinkraus and Sharon Steinkraus, located at 4706 Watson Rd, Three Oaks, MI 49128, parcel # 11-09-0006-0004-02-8. The property is located in an Agricultural Zoning District.
The request seeks a variance to build an addition on a house that are outside the required Township setbacks for the zoning district by approximately 6 feet.
The application for the variance and the Township Zoning Ordinance/Map may be examined by contacting the Township Clerk, Jennifer Richter, at 269-545-8143 during regular business hours after the publication of this Notice, and further may be examined at the hearing. Individuals with disabilities or the need for auxiliary aids should contact the Township Clerk at 269-545-8143, or send correspondence to the Galien Township Hall, P.O. Box 246, Galien, MI 49113, not less than five days before the hearing.
Written comments addressed to the Planning Commission should be received at the Galien Township Hall, P.O. Box 246, Galien, MI 49113, prior to Thursday November 16, 2023, in order to be included in the materials submitted for review.
